A Grief Processing Journey at the Denver Zen Den

Sometimes grief just needs somewhere quiet, often.

Bereavement in the body.

Start a healing experience with our Grief Processing Journey, utilizing transformational technology to guide you through your bereavement. The work is gentle and structural, the body needs to discharge what it's been holding, and rituals of talking sometimes don't reach the place where grief actually lives.

Each session is built around your relationship to the loss. The light and sound provide an environment where what's frozen can soften. The vibroacoustic work moves stuck somatic patterns. The space is held, week after week, so the grief doesn't have to be managed alone.

Bereavement has no timeline. We scope the journey to where you are now, and adjust as it changes. Talk to us for an intake conversation.

Grief without somewhere to land becomes weight. We're somewhere to land.

What the journey includes.

Each session is customized to the client. This is the outline.

For loss the body still carries.

Less ideal if: you're in acute crisis or active suicidal ideation, please reach out to a clinician or crisis service first. This work is a complement to grief therapy, not a replacement.

Before you book.

Can I cry during sessions? Will that be a problem?

Yes you can cry. No it won't be a problem. The technology actually makes tears more accessible, the nervous system softens, and what's been held tight can release. Many people cry without knowing why; that's the work doing what it's supposed to do.

What are the benefits?

Emotional processing and release, enhanced coping mechanisms, connection and empathy. The journey doesn't shorten grief, it accompanies it, so the grief becomes something you carry rather than something that carries you.

How do I prepare?

Set an intention through light journaling. Avoid heavy meals 60 to 90 minutes prior. Arrive hydrated and reasonably well-rested.

How safe is this?

Generally problem-free. Consult a healthcare provider before booking if you have photosensitive epilepsy, glaucoma, recent eye surgery, a pacemaker, deep vein thrombosis, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy.
